ABOUT THE OPEN AIR CINEMA
After many wines in 2008 a group of people decided to hold an impromptu screening of Ferris Bueller's Day off at the Lower Leas Amphitheatre in Folkestone Kent. This community event included screening of winning short films submitted to a Screen South competition. The event was also supported by the now Folkestone and Hythe Council. It was a great sucess. The following year most of the team disbanded. However, one man decided, against all odds decided to continue screenings every year. Now the Open Air Cinema delivers drive in and Pop up Cinema events in Kent, London, Surrey, and Sussex.
